By eliminating the restrictive catalytic converters in the factory downpipes, back pressure is reduced significantly which results in faster spool, an increase in power & a more aggressive exhaust note.The F9x M5 & M8 have 2 primary and 2 secondary catalytic converters for a total of 4 catalytic converters. You can retain the factory or aftermarket primary or secondary downpipes depending on which option you choose.Rather than necking down closer to the turbos like most of our competitors, our race downpipes feature a smooth mandrel bent design which offers a significant increase in flow.
